I have only entered basic information on this site.
Jim and I first became accquainted in 1980. When we got married in September 
1999, I introduced him to my "addiction"....GENEALOGY. We spent our honeymoon 
traipsing through cemeteries in Wayne and Marion Counties, Illinois and found 
we each had many ancestors and cousins who lived in the same area. Gathering 
information about Jim's family, checking marriage records, etc. made me wonder 
just how many of these Wayne County folks were connected to each other. Thus 
this site became inevitable.
We found out Jim had cancer on October 17, 2005 and 17 days later on November 
4th, my husband and my "bestest friend" passed away. He loved football, rock 
hunting, beach combing, the blues, and genealogy. He would be excited about 
this project and I could sure use his help.
This site is intended to use as a base for others searching in Wayne County, 
Illinois. Much, but not all information has been verified so use caution. We 
folks who are searching for Wayne County, Illinois cousins owe a great amount 
of gratitude to Dianna Williams who is the webmaster for Wayne County website 
at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilwayne/. A lot of great volunteers has helped 
contribute information to help me and many others. One of them being Bob Jones.
